Because LIA is already working with partner churches in local communities, we are prepared to respond to disaster as they occur. Relationships and structure are already in place to respond to emergency situations through the local church. 

Whether it is working among the displaced in Sudan and Somalia, responding to the Tsunami crisis in Somalia, or reconciliation training and food relief following the Kenya election violence, God has used LIA and our partner churches to love and care for those who are hurting in times of crisis. Because of the nature of these projects, most are short-term and need heavy financial investment to respond to immediate physical needs like food and shelter.
